Zarina’s graduation from Kindercare

Can’t believe she is ready for Kindergarten. Time really does fly!

Memorial Day at Champoeg state park

Fun family day spent biking at Champoeg (pronounced sham-poo-ee). We biked 3 miles to get ice cream, and 3 miles back. The kids were troopers!! Definitely coming back for camping.

Ran into a nice couple walking their blue macaw.

Of course daddy had to climb up too…

Spring break stop#2: Haceta Head Lighthouse

Second stop on our spring break coast trip was the Haceta Head Lighthouse. The kids made the mile hike uphill to the lighthouse easily! We were all mesmerized by the view and crashing waves at the top, while Zach spent a lot of time inside the lighthouse, curious about its history.

Then we spent a short time walking the beach soaking up the views.

Clamming!!

We brought our garden shovels and went clamming in the backyard of the beach house – the kids did great! We found cockles, mussels and purple varnish clams. Even found a little shrimp inside one of the mussels!

Though Zoey had a minor scratch, they still had a great time.
